Tommie is a young reporter. Her first assignment is to go to Monticello and write a story about President Jefferson. She accidentally goes through a time portal at Mitchies Tavern and meets the real Mr. Jefferson. She goes through a number of historical events with the President and eventually convinces the President to come back through the time portal and see the country he helped create. Culture clash?
