One of the characteristic features of the Azerbaijan folk dwelling irrespective of its type is an apportionment of a special room in a dwelling house, in a karadam - the karadam premise, and in other types - of a room for guests . In the karadam three types of the interior are distinguished: 1 ) the Karabakh type, widly spread in Azerbaijan's western regions; 2 ) the Nakhichevan type found mainly on Nakhicevan's territory; 3 ) the Lev - Kelbadjar localized chiefly in villages of the Lev of Kelbadjar and Dyrnys of Ordubad regions . Every type has an original spatial solution embracing all the elements - from the general composition to the artistic treatment of separate elements and parts.
