Seasoned Traveller, Dominic Reeve, writer of many acclaimed books on the
Travellers' way of life - as it is, not romanticised - here tells us of
the period when Travellers were more or less universally changing from
the horse drawn waggon to the age of the lorry and trailer (caravan).
The book has the added interest of giving us a glimpse into the private
life of the great painter and Romani Rai, Augustus John, of whom the
author was a friend. Reeves' wife Beshlie - who illustrates this book -
was a frequent (and the last) model for the renowned painter.
