This publication is an edited English commentary detailing the life of
one of the most important historical Sikhs of Srī Gurū Arjan Dev Jī.
This is a story about the life of the great Sikh known as Bhāī Manjh who
had to endure the most difficult of tests in order gain the most
sanctified position in Sikhī, a place within the heart of the Gurū. Bhāī
Manjh is considered the ferry who can assist in providing Sikhs to be
taken across this worldly ocean. It is even stated within the Gurbilās
Pātshāhī Chhevīn that Bhāī Manjh today is able to travel to all the
realms and search for souls who may have spent some time with the
Satsangat. Bhāī Manjh will travel to the underworlds and where he sees
an individual who has come good karmā, he will show mercy upon them and
lift them out of this domain to the heavenly realms. He will also test
those Sikhs that ended up in the underworld on their recitation of the
Srī Jap Jī Sāhib. If their utterance has no faults again, he will save
them and be the ferry that takes souls across the worldly ocean. Blessed
is the great Sikh who can save souls even to this day of those who have
not reached salvation.
