It was, I believe, a song of the 1950's that spoke of growing up being
hard to do. A recollection of the words to that song is mostly
nonexistent, except for the title. And the memory of the tune is only
partial.
The point of the song included romance. But the idea of the song seems
to me, could have had applicable implications of a dark and challenging
time of growing up.
The Sawmill story-line includes many references to difficult and even
dangerous aspects of life and living on The Sawmill site and working
in the forests of the surrounding terrain.
Then came small-town living, and work. Military time and corporate work
followed.
And now, having reared two sons, completed two careers plus some, life
is full, easier, and near completion.
But wait! I might write another book!
