An intimate history of the relationship between the African National
Congress (ANC) and Mozambique's Frelimo party, this study is based on
interviews with more than 40 people who lived in the ANC community in
Maputo in the 1970s and 1980s. Providing a vivid record of the time,
these recollections chart the course of South African liberation as it
evolved in Mozambique and paint a three-dimensional picture of life in
those turbulent days.
