Originally published in the mid 1800s. This is the revised and enlarged
edition of 1897. It also contains Instructions in cases of Injury and
Poisoning and brief directions for maintaining a dog in good health. The
author was a well known personality in the dog world and wrote many
other breed and veterinary books. Many of the earliest dog books,
particularly those dating back to the 1900s and before, are now
extremely scarce and increasingly expensive. Home Farm Books are
republishing many of these classic works in affordable, high quality,
modern editions, using the original text and artwork.
