The C. Shephard chronicles the life of Chris Shephard as seen through
drama, romance, page-turning action, poetic imagery, and the natural
beauty of his Sullivan's Island home.
Guided by a keen sense of justice and a Louisville Slugger, Chris's life
is upended when he defends his stepsister from the attempted assault by
three privileged teens, one of them the son of a local judge. When one
of the boys dies from his injuries, Chris quickly learns that the
justices we defend can turn on us as the overbearing judge will stop at
nothing to protect his own name as well as his bad seed.
Eventually reconciling with this past and now fighting to save his
Island home, Chris is confronted once again with the consequence of
choices, and justice not always being just. Now, he must choose to break
a promise or a heart.
Much like the shoreline is to the sea, Chris is shaped by currents
beyond his control and is forced to survive in the wake of what is left
behind-broken shells and broken hearts.
The dramatic conclusion will leave readers holding their breath,
clenching their fists and clutching their hearts.
