Following a summary of the 1989 excavations at Ezbet Helmi, 1 km west of
Tell el-Daba, Fuscaldo catalogues a rare assemblage of hundreds of
vessels from the site. The vessels were found scattered along a street
to the north of a monumental complex, dating from the Late Hyskos
Period. Fuscaldo argues that the vessels were smashed to mark the
conquest of Avaris by Ahmose. The illustrated catalogue is followed by a
ceramic corpus of the early 18th Dynasty and statistical analysis of the
Late Hyskos vessels. The volume contains a seperate folder of 7 large
site plans.
