Murmurs and rustles of soul that breeze across all borders, are
distilled into Jay Basu's poems. They undulate on the waves that roll
gently or at times buffet from the ocean of love beyond the apparent.
The shadows of Time and Mortality loom the canvas, too often, in
interplay with the Flickers of Passion in his poems. Some of the poems
articulate the cry for humanity's dip into the nectar of Eternity. Some
others present the motifs of genial humour and satire to reform things
gone awry. But everywhere is palpable the sigh of a sensitive soul for a
still-unborn better world of peace.
