This striking combination of poems and photographs creates a remarkable new soundscape and vision of Glasgow and of the land that sometimes seems so far from its crowded streets. From the screech of city-centre buses to the crash of waves on a windswept beach, the poems convey the journey between the city and the country, between two very different worlds.

Norman Bissell's lyric snapshots of people and places are appositely illustrated by Oscar Marzaroli's stunning photographs. Some shown here for the first time, these capture the changing landscape in light and shade.
