The Pforzheim Jewellery Museum is the world's only museum in public
ownership that is dedicated exclusively to jewelry. Its collections
comprise originals from five millennia, from prehistoric times to the
present day. Highlights include exquisite specimens from Greek and
Etruscan antiquity and from the Renaissance and the Baroque periods, as
well as outstanding examples of Art Nouveau jewelry plus its unique
collection of contemporary art jewelry created since 1960. Two other
collections, on permanent loan and displayed since 2006, provide
important complementary insights into the diversity of jewelry: the Eva
and Peter Herion collection of ethnographic jewelry and the Philipp
Weber pocket watch collection owned by the Sparkasse Pforzheim Calw
savings bank. Contents: Preface; The Schmuckmuseum Pforzheim: Its
