Elise Sanders is an 18 year old daughter of a farmer. At the age of 18 all female heirs of mistresses and servants need to participate in a choosing ceremony between the tri-kingdoms. The noble men and soldiers get to choose the woman they wish to basically purchase as either their mistress or wife. As much as she hates this tradition, Elise needs to participate to help keep her family from starving to death. Brent Tuner is the third son of the king in Tymas. Because he is the third son, he will only be a Duke, so his father is forcing him to participate in the choosing ceremony to find his wife. He reluctantly attends with the plans to only chose a mistress from this group of woman. That is until one woman sparks intrigue.
