From the author's days of working on the original Auto-Train in the
1970s rolls Rough Rails. College completed, career chosen, and a bright
future ahead, Tyson switched tracks to answer another calling - the
romantic lure of the rails. It wasn't all smooth riding for him, though,
starting with a disapproving mother and a family conflict to overcome.
Yet those train days would be some of the best years of his life. It's
all here, two years of being a host on the longest passenger train in
the country and the hilarious mishaps that befell him, fondly remembered
forty-five years later.
