Nowadays, scholars believe that leadership has positive impacts on
project management performance. Project activities include diverse
members, with a mix of skills and abilities, which determines the
highest level of communication skills among the members in the
organization. Therefore, this study attempts to investigate the meaning
of the national culture based on the Hofstede and Globe model and
examine two types of leadership for project management performance,
taking into account that the concept of leadership has changed from the
past. So, we would like to investigate how the combination of
transformational and transactional leadership can improve project
management performance. Transformational leadership is about making all
project members creative, engaged and full of initiative and the other
hand, transactional leadership, by providing a clear strategy can
monitor the on-going activities in the project. Furthermore, the project
manager needs to become a good leader in order to integrate team members
around the defined goals of the project.
