Developed from the successful Norwegian book Den Store Kaninboka (The
Big Book of Rabbits), this book covers all aspects of rabbit behavior,
welfare, health, and husbandry with updated and expanded content also
relevant for veterinarians. The focus is on explaining normal behavior
as a basis for describing optimal welfare with an emphasis on rabbits in
the domestic setting. Information regarding wild and laboratory rabbits
is included to show how behaviors such as socialization, learning, and
communication can differ depending on environment.
