As is the Principal, so is the School. The personality of a Principal
reflects in the Institution he/she heads. The achievements of the school
both in scholastic and co-scholastic spheres depend on the managerial
and leadership skills of the principal.Education is the greatest tool to
level Social and Economic differences prevailing in the society. India
can be brought on the threshold of 21st century mainly through
Education.Educational Institutions both academic and professional lay
the foundation of overall development through the quality education
imparted by them. Quality Education is impossible without quality
teachers and quality principals. The institutions can realize the
objectives of Quality Education only when the planning and monitoring
systems are not only effective but very strong mechanisms has to be
developed. All this is possible when the person at the helm is a
Visionary and a Missionary. He/She has a vision to fulfill and a mission
to achieve; therefore a Principal must have core-beliefs, ideals, and
principles which will help in making the institution a learning
organization.In this book efforts have been made to incorporate all
those Principles, Abilities and Qualities which the Principal must
possess to administer, monitor, supervise, guide and Lead. It is indeed
a pleasure for me to have shared my own experiences and experimentations
of Principalship in the book.
