The book describe the role of aphids and their natural enemies on
different varieties of cauliflower crop. Aphids are among the most
destructive insect pests of cultivated crops that are widely distributed
in Pakistan and throughout the world. Biological control is an essential
component in integrated management of aphids. Variety selection and crop
management practices are the main factors that contribute to growing
profitable horticultural crops. Adjusting the planting date of row
crops, thereby altering the production season, may be another viable
method for reducing pesticide use. Interrelationship of aphids and their
natural enemies on different varieties of cauliflower was studied during
the research. It was found that aphid's populations were varied
according to the planting dates of different varieties. Resistant and
susceptible varieties of crop in relation to planting dates identified
in this study. The population pattern of predator and parasitoid were
found directly proportional to the aphids. The role predators and
parasitoids to control pest population were examined in the light of
this research.
