The WRMSDs have been associated with multifactorial etiology and its
prevention and management require multidisciplinary effort. Though the
advancement in ergonomics and biomechanics have led to modification of
workplace environment and reduction of external force, yet the incidence
of MSDs continued to mount, particularly in jobs requiring repetitive
movements, giving an impression that the modification of external force
alone cannot explain the increasing incidence of MSDs. Through this
present research, the author is intended to find out the optimum force
that could be exerted with minimal discomfort during combined movements
of extension with ulnar deviation of wrist.
