In a new picture book, Tashi rides on a white tiger to the top of the
mountain to see why the dragon is not sending the rains to his village
Ever since he could remember, Tashi had been told stories about the
dragon. Grandmother said the dragon lived over the mountain and far
away. Second Uncle said the dragon lived in a palace of gold--he'd seen
it once with his telescope, twinkling like a star. Wise-as-an-Owl said
they'd be lucky if they never saw a dragon in their whole lives.
Kim Gamble's stunning illustrations take readers again into the wondrous
land where Tashi lives, in the second color book to introduce Tashi to
very young children. Tashi's village is experiencing a drought, so he
takes a journey to find why the rains aren't being sent--a scary
journey, as the dragons are the source of rain. As always, Tashi is
brave and clever, and finds a way to relate to the dragons and save his
village.
