Each button in Nanna's tin prompts the sharing of a memory in a
welcoming story captured in warm, expressively detailed illustrations.
Nanna's button tin is very special. It holds buttons of all shapes and
sizes, and they all have a different story to tell. When her
granddaughter shakes all the buttons onto the floor and starts to sort,
she finds a tiny yellow circle that was on the baby jacket she wore home
from the hospital, as Nanna remembers. She sees a button shaped like a
bear, from a sweater that Nanna knit for her when she turned three.
There's even a sparkly green button from the dress that Nanna had on
when she first met Pop. But today, one button in particular is needed, a
button that must be just the right size and right shape: a button for
Teddy.
