Told in first person, ten year-old Margie likes being a girl but wishes
she had the freedom to explore and roam as the boys in her neighborhood.
Set in the 1960s, Margie finds herself held back by her parents
expectations of what a proper young lady should become and how she
should behave. But Margie's curiosity and energy cannot be contained,
and soon enough she learns the risks that come with freedom.
