The fact that botanically-derived chemicals have been recognized as
potent tools in mosquito control programme, and that plant-derived
insecticides have advantages over the synthetic poisonous chemicals, and
are readily biodegradable thus eco-friendly, less harmful to non-target
organisms and comparatively cheap, therefore, this study was carried out
to evaluate extracts from leaf of F. vallis-choudae (Moraceae: Rosales)
for Larvicidal and insect-growth-regulatory activities against Culex
quinquefasciatus, as a mosquito model species. There research has shown
the great effect of plant extract on egg, larvae of different stages.
