This new book will help to know a little more in detail the history of the artillery regiment of Wiking Division, thanks to the many stories and memories of veterans of the unit which will by its sustained fire all the fights of the Division. One of the early leaders, Herbert Otto Gille, even became commander of Wiking.

A very thorough training will bring these men to the best use of different guns and howitzers to save, for the truth of their shots, munitions that become over the years the recurrent problem of troops from the front. The reader will be trained by reading different stories in what was one of the worst battlefields of the Eastern Front, a formidable opponent for the Russian but also by another opponent equally terrible, cold and mud .
