Londoner Charlotte Cheshire and Brooklynite Anthony Monteleone are both
having a blue Christmas: both dumped by their exes, both stranded at New
York's John F. Kennedy airport, and both desperate for something to take
their minds off the holiday.
After their chance meeting and realization that they are in a similar
predicament, Charlotte suggests traveling into the city for an
adventure, following the steps in a silly self-help book she has about
getting over a broken heart, but Anthony thinks she must be nuts!
However, anything is better than spending Christmas Eve alone, so he
decides to take a risk and go with it.
The couple spend the night traveling all over Manhattan in the middle of
a snowstorm and meeting an array of wacky characters - each adding
something new to their thoughts on life, love, and how to improve their
rotten situation. Charlotte and Anthony do their best to "muddle
through" a decidedly un-Hallmark Christmas.
Can Charlotte and Anthony discover the unexpected joys of the City that
Never Sleeps (even on Christmas Eve) and possibly something far more
surprising and exciting: new love?
