Bible (King James Version) through philosophers of the seventeenth,
eighteenth, and nineteenth centuries. He also covers Job in the
literature of the Romantics, Blake, Melville, and Dostoyevsky. As
appendices, he treats Job in Geography (Uz), Job and Zoology (Behemoth
