Why should a Japanese learn interlingua? The simple answer to that
question is: Because Interlingua is the international vocabulary that is
c o m m o n to all languages that have their origin in Europe, and that
its very simple grammar is a reflexion of a general European grammar.
Learning Interlingua is the easiest way tho acquire the vocabulary
useful when learning other European languages. The explanation to this
is that one of the Indo-European languages, Latin, which was the
language of the Roman Empire 2000 years ago, continued to serve as the
means of communication between all cultivated people in the whole of
Europe for many hundred years
