The fusion of thermal and visible imagery combines the useful
information contained in each wavelength in one image. However, image
fusion is complex process because it should decide on the data value and
content of each input image then combine them in real-time. Current work
introduces a real-time implementation of an intelligent fusion routine
capable of applying the thermo-plasticity analysis to evaluate a
stamping process, while using the visible data to decide on any
defectives accurate location. The book also discusses another fusion
implementation for vehicular night vision systems, which can combine the
information from reflective and emissive objects in real-time while
identifying pedestrians and other objects using its temperature
signature and morphology (shape).
