This work was carried out with the objective to find out a solution to
cope with the problem of soil salinity; a major constraint to crop
production. This work is of great importance in explaining new ways to
improve salt tolerance of sugarcane. We are optimistic that this can be
also useful for other plants as well. The work not only describes the
improvement of salinity tolerance but also throws light on the
relationship of salinity tolerance with antioxidant enzyme activities.
To conclude we would like to say that it is only a minute cintribution
to the vast sea of knowledge having a lot of hard work and originality
behind it.
