"Thrilling stories with plenty of horses plus a measure of mystery and
suspense."
--Horse and Pony Magazine
When Ellie and Tara return to Garland House they find the Bartons
embarking on a new project at their family estate. Jonah and Ricky's
parents are now offering working vacations to families, including
courses on organic gardening for parents, and horseback riding lessons
for the kids. Ellie and Tara think this sounds like fun to help out with
until they meet the visitors! Not only is one visiting boy strangely
obsessed with Ellie, making Jonah crazy, but one of the guests thinks
there's a ghost. But the old house may, indeed, be haunted--Ellie has
felt it, too. Is the reclusive previous owner, Silas, trying to drive
the guests away from beyond the grave? Ellie and Jonah plan to find out,
but their sleuthing isn't popular among the paying guests. Meanwhile,
Jonah has shown Ellie a strange old portrait they found in the house--a
portrait containing a horse that looks just like Aslan! Rumor has it
that a valuable object is hidden in Garland House. It can't possibly be
this strange portrait. But when Ellie puts two and two together, she and
Asland must once again brave great danger to solve the mystery.
