This book is about what I have learned and am still learning about
parenting my teen son. It's also about discoveries I've made about
myself along the way and their impact on my parenting. I will share how
past traumas can profoundly influence the parent-child relationship,
affecting it well into adulthood. Things that happened to me at the age
of four have transcended time to impact my children significantly. Being
a parent is one of the most challenging and rewarding journeys I have
ever experienced. It is precisely these challenges that have forced me
to recognise and fix limiting beliefs and other areas of my life that
were negatively impacted by childhood trauma. My innate motherly
instinct has given me the strength to draw an invisible line to protect
my children - the next generation - from similar pain that had been
passed down to me from the generation before.
