The Rocky Mountain area is noted for challenging growing conditions and
a great diversity of plant life. From this plant diversity, the authors
have selected 518 species of native plants suitable for use in
horticulture and native plant landscaping. The selected species include
trees, shrubs, vines, ferns, cacti, grasses, and wildflowers. Culture
and propagation information are provided for each species and color
photos are provided for most species.
