Ginger Rogers, born Virginia Katherine McMath on July 16th, 1911,
Independence, Missouri, U.S., was an actress, dancer, and singer. Rogers
starred in Kitty Foyle (1940) winning the Academy Award for Best
Actress, but is best remembered for performing in RKO's musical films,
partnering Fred Astaire, on stage, radio and TV, for much of the 20th
century.
