"Fifty Voluntaries for Reed or Pipe Organ" is a collection of fantastic
sheet music for organ players by Édouard Batiste. Édouard Batiste (28
March, 1820 - 9 November, 1876) was a French organist and composer. He
studied at the Imperial Conservatoire as a teenager, winning prizes in
harmony and accompaniment, counterpoint and fugue, and organ. In 1840,
he also won the Prix de Rome together with François Bazin. This volume
is ideal for those with a serious interest in organ playing, and it is
not to be missed by collectors of vintage organ music. Contents include:
"Antiphon in Bb Major", "Antiphon in B Minor", "Antiphon in D Major",
"Antiphon in Eb Major", "Antiphon in E Minor", "Antiphon in F Major",
"Antiphon in F Minor", "Antiphon in G Minor", "Communion in A Major", "
Communion in B Minor", " Communion in D Major", " Communion in D Minor",
etc. Many vintage books such as this are increasingly scarce and
expensive. It is with this in mind that we are republishing this volume
now in an affordable, modern, high-quality edition complete with a
specially-commissioned new introduction on the history of the organ.
