Williamina Wemyss was the oldest daughter of Earl James Wemyss of Bogie,
Fifeshire, Scotland and Elizabeth Loch who were handfasted in 1701.
Elizabeth Loch and her three children relocated to Anne Arundel County,
Maryland and became part of the new American aristocracy. Her sons were
active in the American Revolution, and her daughter Williamina married
William Moore, Judge and owner of Bull Tavern and Moore Hall. The mother
of 10 children (1 died shortly after birth) she died in 1784, leaving
all her property in Nova Scotia to Thomas William Moore, Capt. This
volume covers all of her known descendants, including those in Nova
Scotia; approximately 12 generations, which when indexed includes more
than 8,000 individuals.
