English summary: Bologna-based writer Ermanno Cavazzoni (* 1947)
belongs to the 'Voci delle Pianure' group of authors in Gianni Celati's
circle and is one of the most original voices in contemporary Italian
literature. His luna novels brilliantly illustrate the anthropological
phenomenon of madness and the power of human imagination. Within the
context of these opposing forces, the moon goes from being the epitome
of what is luna to symbolizing the volatility of fate, human fickleness,
madness, meaning and art. In order to illustrate luna themes,
Cavazzoni's novels are conceived as enigmatic text labyrinths that
elevate the principle of ambivalence to be at the core of their artistic
message. This study is the first monograph on the novels of Cavazzoni
and presents their poetry and aesthetics on the basis of narrative
interpretation. At the same time, the work reveals the importance of the
author within the context of European and Italian literary history.

Cavazzoni (*1947) gehort der Autorengruppe der ?voci delle pianure' um
Gianni Celati an und zahlt zu den originellsten Stimmen der
zeitgenossischen italienischen Literatur. Seine lunatischen Romane
inszenieren virtuos das anthropologische Phanomen des Wahnsinns und die
Kraft der menschlichen Phantasie. In diesem Spannungsfeld avanciert der
Mond als Inbegriff des Lunatischen zum Symbol fur die Unbestandigkeit
des Schicksals, fur die Wankelmutigkeit des Menschen, fur Wahn, Sinn und
Kunst. Zur Verdeutlichung dieser lunatischen Themen sind Cavazzonis
Romane als enigmatische Text-Labyrinthe konzipiert, die das Prinzip der
Ambivalenz zu ihrem kunstlerischen Programm erheben. Die vorliegende
Studie ist die erste Monographie zu den Romanen Cavazzonis und stellt
deren Poetik und Asthetik anhand narratologischer Interpretationen dar.
Gleichzeitig wird die Bedeutung des Autors in der europaischen und
italienischen Literaturgeschichte erhellt.
