Implant surgery is one of the most common maxillofacial surgeries. The
issue that has occupied the minds of patients and surgeons is the pain
after implant surgery. Implant implantation is usually accompanied by
little pain. In some cases, the pain becomes so severe that it can be
said that the amount of pain depends on the skill of the surgeon,
problems during surgery, the patient's pain tolerance threshold. Today,
many experiments have been performed on various implants to increase the
rate of fusion of the implant base with the surrounding bone and its
success rate. However, no research has been done on the amount of
postoperative pain in conical and cylindrical implants. Some studies
have examined their success and stability.
