This book addresses the role of repeaters in the CDMA network, their
interaction with the network and the needed integrative design and
optimization of the repeater-embedded network. The approach of the book
is to develop functional comprehension of the complex radio network, and
affinity to the factors dominating the Radio Resource Utilization.
Simple models are developed, recognizing that over-complex models and
simulations lack the clarity of the underlying processes while failing
to match the measured performance anyhow. Field-measured case studies
complement the analysis, and methodology for use of dynamically measured
network parameters in tuning and optimizing the network is laid out.
