The ethical challenges resulting from innovations in intellectual property, the cyborg project, neuroscience, the origins of human life, democracy in a "post truth and fake news" era, the changes in the financial system and, finally, the discoveries for a new cosmology represent some of the challenges of our technical age. In close continuity with the previous volume, the present edition of Sinderesi School (2016-2017) focuses on how technology, in its pervasive influence, has reached and transformed every aspect of the world. In order to address this new reality, what is needed are educated people who are aware of the risks and the benefits. The ideas presented here come primarily from young people. Beyond the limits is the fruit of their study and a demonstration of how it is possible to create active pockets of new thinkers able to offer interesting and inspiring points of view resulting from their willing to be present to the contemporary world in a competent manner.
