Surge irrigation is the cyclic application of water during an irrigation
event and its performance is dependent on waterfront advances of surges
applied onto the field. The extensive data collection of waterfront
advances for surges is a laborious and time-consuming job. Further
present state of knowledge indicates its evaluation on the basis of
water saving and efficiencies indicators. Morover the graphical
presentation of the water advances for surges does not provide any
useful information contrast to continuous. To fill this gap, Azeemi-
Surge Irrigation Advance Rate Performance Model 'ASARPM' was developed
empirically and presented in this book. Criteria used for its
development is based on the modification of the power equation and in
utilizing minimum data collection during surge irrigation. This
simplified technique would help researchers and scientists in the
efficient application of water in irrigated environment. The author
