Ashtadhyayi has an important place in all the books of grammar. There
are eight chapters in this Ashtadhyayi and each chapter has four padas.
Altogether there are thirty-two padas. There are about 3993 sutras in
the Ashtadhyayi. It is a supernatural miracle of Panini and his genius
to fill a lot of meaning in very small sutras.
This small formula, leaving the small form, later assumes such a vast
form that the entire Sanskrit literature, appears to be imbued with it.
Panini's profound talent is echoing in each Sutra and teaches readers to
memorize texts like Ashtadhyay.
