With improvements in technology and instrumentation, arthroscopy has become the primary treatment modality for many shoulder disorders. Compared with open techniques, arthroscopy has smaller incisions and damage to deltoid muscle is very less, improved intra-articular visualization, less pain, and faster postoperative recovery.
