Numidia, año 62 d.C. El centurión veterano de guerra Furio Voreno
encabeza la escolta de una caravana en cuyos carros viajan animales
salvajes y seres humanos capturados para luchar en las arenas de la Roma
imperial. Entre los cautivos hay una joven llamada Varea. Es orgullosa y
salvaje como un felino, puede comunicarse con los animales y Voreno la
observa, fascinado.
Los retratos de la joven que el pintor de paisajes ha realizado durante
el viaje despiertan el interés del emperador por Varea, que al ser
rechazado por la chica la envía a la arena. Mientras tanto, Roma se

Numidia, 62 A.D. Furio Voreno, veteran centurion, leads a caravan of
carriages that are transporting wild animals and imprisoned people to
fight at the coliseums in Imperial Rome. Among the captives is a young
woman named Varea. She is proud and wild like a feline, she can
communicate with animals and Voreno watches her with fascination.
The paintings of the young woman that the landscape painter made during
the trip, aroused the emperor's interest in Varea, who, having been
rejected by her, sends her to the arena to fight. Meanwhile, Rome is
