The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is a structured technique for
dealing with complex decisions. Rather than prescribing a "correct"
decision, the AHP helps decision-makers find one that best suits their
goal and their understanding of the problem - it formalises a method for
making decisions that people are already intuitively trying to apply
mentally. This book introduces AHP, and a further development, which
called Analytic Network Process (ANP). A case study is given to show how
ANP can be applied, together with a short tutorial on a software tool,
Superdecision, which can be used to implement the ANP.
