This guide to the Adirondacks was originally published in 1874 by S.R.
Stoddard, a professional photographer and native of upstate New York.
With over 70 illustrations and maps, this tour guide describes summer
resorts, lakes and ponds, mountains, and people, and includes routes,
fares, time tables, and other information necessary for the
nineteenth-century traveler. The title was named one of the 25 Uniquely
New York Books by the New York State Writers Institute on the occasion
of their 25th Anniversary in November 2009.
