As progress continues to move onward and upward throughout Kansas City,
there will always be places left behind. From the industrial to
residential and many places in between, all these structures have more
stories to tell. Each one of these locations are smaller steppingstones
in the foundation of Kansas City's establishment, and share the
commonality of being left empty. Their original purposes are diverse,
with timelines going back as far as the 1890s. In addition to some
interesting and obscure backstories, this book takes an in-depth look
inside all these buildings that many of us have driven by and wondered
about for years, in a widespread montage of photography that details as
much as possible. In this second instalment of Abandoned Kansas City,
more of the forgotten is brought into the light.
